Date Cookies

Ingredients

• 4 cupfuls flour
• 2 eggs
• 2 cupfuls sugar
• 1^ cupfuls sour cream
• % teaspoonful soda
• 3 teaspoonfuls baking powder
• 1 teaspoonful vanilla
• V2 teaspoonful salt
• dates

Method

   Sift the dry ingredients together.

   Beat the eggs and add the sugar and cream to them.

   Combine the two mixtures.

   Drop in small patches on oiled tins, press whole stoned dates or four raisins on top of every cooky, sprinkle with brown sugar and bake.
