Creamed Tomatoes

Ingredients

• firm tomatoes
• 1 tblsp. of flour
• 1 tblsp. melted butter
• 1/2 pt. mixed cream and milk

Method

   Cut tomatoes in thick slices and fry in butter until tender.

   Add flour to melted butter, bring to bubbling-point, then add mixed cream and milk.

   Cook until thick, stirring constantly.

   Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper, and pour the sauce over them.
