Bavarian Nut Bread

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 3 mashed bananas
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup black walnuts or pecans
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Add egg yolks and mashed bananas.

   Then add flour with salt and soda sifted together.

   Next add vanilla and nuts, chopped.

   Last of all fold in the beaten egg whites.

   Pour in loaf pan and bake 1 hour in slow oven, 350 degrees F.
