Apple Jam

Ingredients

• Apples (russets)
• Sugar

Method

   Pare and core the apples, cut into half inch squares.

   Weigh the apple pieces and cover with the same weight of sugar.

3. 3

   Set aside for 48 hours, pour off the syrup into a preserving pan and bring to a boil; then add the apple chips and boil slowly without stirring until they are transparent.
