Ingredients

• pint butter
• one-third pint pulverized sugar
• yolks of six eggs
• gill of sour milk
• quarter teaspoon soda
• teaspoon cinnamon
• quart flour

Method

   Cream butter and pulverized sugar, add yolks of eggs, sour milk, soda, cinnamon, and flour.

   Roll out thin, cut into narrow strips, mix into fancy shapes, and cook as doughnuts, dusting with pulverized sugar when partially cooled.
