Walnut Cake

Ingredients

• one-half cup butter
• one cup sugar
• three eggs
• one and one-half cups flour
• one teaspoon baking powder
• one-half cup milk
• one cup chopped walnuts

Method

   Cream one-half cup of butter with one cup of sugar, then stir in three eggs (adding the yolks).

   Mix in one and one-half cups of flour, one teaspoon of baking powder, and one-half cup of milk.

   Finally, fold in one cup of chopped walnuts and the beaten whites of the eggs.

   Bake in layers and put sweetened whipped cream between the layers and on top.
