Victoria Buns

Ingredients

• Half a pound of Flour
• Two ounces of Butter
• Two ounces of Sugar
• One ounce of Sultanas
• One teaspoonful of Baking Powder
• A little Lemon Rind
• One Egg
• Milk.

Method

   Rub the butter into the flour, pick the stalks off the sultanas, mix all the dry ingredients together.

   Beat the eggs and add two or three tablespoonfuls of milk.

   Pour the egg and milk onto the flour, making a stiff mixture.

   Add a little more milk if necessary.

   Place in heaps on a greased tin and bake in a hot oven about twenty minutes.
