Toad In A Hole

Ingredients

• 1 pound round steak
• 1 cup flour
• 1 pint sweet milk
• 2 eggs
• Salt and pepper

Method

   Beat eggs very light, add milk and pour on the flour gradually, beating smooth.

   Butter a two-quart pan, put ground meat in the pan and season well.

   Pour batter over the meat, and bake one hour in a moderate oven, and serve hot.
