To Broil Herrings and Cabbage

Ingredients

• One Cabbage
• One ounce Butter
• Pepper
• Salt
• Red Herrings

Method

   Boil the cabbage until tender, strain, and cook in butter with pepper and salt.

   Chop it up, flour and broil the red herrings, place the cabbage on a dish, lay the fish on top, and serve hot.
