Stewed Steak

Ingredients

• 1 lb good steak
• 1 oz. of butter
• 1 onion
• 1 pt. water
• 6 cloves
• 1 teaspoonful N.Q.M.E. Co's. extract of meat
• pepper
• salt

Method

   Roll each piece of steak in flour, cook with onions for 15 minutes.

   Add water, cloves, pepper, and salt, simmer for 1.5 hours, then add extract of meat and serve with mashed potatoes.
