STARCH SHIRT BOSOMS AND COLLARS.— Pour a pint of boiling water upon two ounces of gum arabic, cover it and let it stand over night. A tablespoonful of this gum arabic water, stirred into a pint of starch made in the usual manner, will give to lawns, either white or printed, a look of newness when nothing else can restore them. To every pint of starch add piece of spermaceti candle the size of a chestnut
