Snowballs

Ingredients

• } cup butter
• I 2J cups flour
• 1 cup sugar
• I 3J tsps, baking powder
• J cup milk
• Whites of four eggs

Method

1. 1

   Cream the butter, add sugar gradually, then the milk.

   Sift flour and baking powder together and add to the mixture, then add the whites, which have been beaten stiff.

   Steam thirty-five minutes in buttered cups.

4. 4

   Serve with preserved fruit or lemon sauce.

   The steam cover must not be lifted while the puddings are cooking.
