Sago Pudding

Ingredients

• 1 oz. of Sago
• 1 pint of Milk
• 1 Egg
• 1 oz. of Moist Sugar
• A little Grated Nutmeg
• A little Butter

Method

   Wash sago and soak in cold water for 1 hour.

   Strain, put into a saucepan with milk, and simmer until clear, stirring frequently.

   Cool slightly, beat egg and sugar together, stir into the saucepan, pour into a greased pie-dish, and grate nutmeg on top.

   Bake for 30 minutes.
