Roast Turkey with Oysters

Ingredients

• Singe and clean a medium-sized tender turkey
• Four breakfast cupfuls of oyster cracker crumbs
• four breakfast cupfuls of bread crumbs
• liquor from live dozen oysters
• one-half pound of melted butter
• two beaten eggs

Method

1. 1

   Stuff the turkey with a mixture of cracker crumbs, bread crumbs, oyster liquor, melted butter, and beaten eggs.

   Wrap in buttered paper and roast in a hot oven, basting often.

   Remove paper before serving and prepare brown sauce with the drippings.
