Roast Ham

Ingredients

• one teaspoonful of salt
• one salt-spoonful of black pepper
• two gills of stock
• the other half of the beans

Method

1. 1

   Stuff the ham, stitch the opening, and tie it with string.

   Sprinkle with salt and pepper, place in a roast-pan with stock.

   Roast in a moderate oven for 1.5 hours, then add beans and cook for 1 hour more, basting every 20 minutes after the first half-hour.

   Remove strings and serve.
