Record Cakes

Ingredients

• 1 lb. flour
• 1/2 lb. butter
• 1/2 lb. sugar
• 3 ozs. pistachio kernels
• 8 eggs
• 1 gill cream or milk
• 1/2 teaspoonfuls of Elliott's Queensland baking powder
• Rose water flavouring

Method

   Cream butter and sugar, sift flour and baking powder.

   Beat yolks into the mixture, whisk whites to a stiff froth and fold in.

   Mix in chopped cherries and pistachios, place in greased patty tins, and bake for ten to fifteen minutes.
