Raised Biscuits

Ingredients

• two more tablespoonfuls of soft butter
• two heaping tablespoonfuls sugar

Method

1. 1

   Mix soft butter and sugar into the dough in the morning.

   Let it rest for about an hour.

   Roll into biscuits, greasing hands with lard while rolling.

   Lay close together in biscuit tins and set to rise.

5. 5

   Bake for thirty minutes in brisk heat.
