Ingredients

• about 3 pints of oats
• enough of the dry mash

Method

1. 1

   Cover oats with hot water and place on the back of the kitchen range overnight.

   In the morning, add enough dry mash to make a crumbly mixture and feed at 7 A.M.

   The mixture should be warm but not scalding.

   At 9 A.M., scatter scratch feed in litter (about 0.5 ounces of grain per hen).

   At 10:30 A.M., provide green food cut into 1/2 inch lengths.

6. 6

   At noon, repeat the 9 o'clock feed.
