Ingredients

• Beat yolks four eggs
• two dessert spoons of sugar
• one teacup sweet milk
• one tablespoon butter
• one tablespoon lard
• Flour enough to make a stiff batter

Method

   Beat yolks of four eggs with sugar, add sweet milk with dissolved yeast cake.

   Add flour to make a stiff batter, then add beaten whites and let rise.

   When light, add butter and lard, make soft dough, let rise again, roll into pieces, spread butter on one end, fold like a pocket book, and let rise before baking.
