Plain Cake

Ingredients

• y2 cup butter
• l3/4 cup sugar
• 2 cups flour
• 6 eggs
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• V2 teaspoon lemon

Method

   Sift flour and baking powder 3 times.

   Beat eggs until thick like heavy cream.

   Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and flour alternately.

   Add milk and vanilla last.

   Bake in oven at 275 degrees for one hour.
