Picnic Bolls

Ingredients

• Four pork sausages (parboiled)
• 1 lb. of flour
• 2oz. of butter
• £ teaspoonful of salt
• 1 saltspoonful of pepper
• 1 egg
• 1 pint of milk and water mixed
• 1 teaspoonful of baking powder

Method

   Rub butter into flour, mix in pepper, salt, and baking powder; beat egg with milk, pour on dry ingredients, mix into a stiff dough, divide, wrap sausage in each piece, form into rolls, brush with egg, and bake for twenty minutes in a moderate oven.
