Peanut Cookies

Ingredients

• 3 tbsp. butter
• 1 egg
• 1 c. flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• }4: tsp. salt
• 3^ tsp. lemon juice
• 3^ c. chopped nuts

Method

   Cream butter well with sugar.

   Add salt and baking powder to the flour.

   Add the beaten yolk to the butter and sugar.

   Then add the flour and nuts.

   Fold in white of egg, add the lemon juice, and mix stiff enough to drop on greased paper.

   Bake in a hot oven.

   Makes 2 dozen cookies.
