Patty Shells

Ingredients

• one pint flour
• two teaspoons baking powder
• half teaspoon salt
• one-half pound good butter
• a little more than a gill of cold water

Method

   Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together.

   Work half the butter into the flour, mix with cold water to make a stiff dough.

   Roll out, add remaining butter, roll again, cut into rounds, and bake until brown.
