Muffins

Ingredients

• 4 tablespoonfuls butter
• 3 teaspoonfuls baking powder
• 2 tablespoonfuls sugar
• 1 egg
• 14 teaspoonful salt
• 1 cupful milk
• 2 cupfuls flour

Method

   Cream the butter, add the sugar and beaten egg.

   Sift the baking powder with the flour and add alternately with the milk.

   Bake in buttered muffin tins for 25 minutes.

   Optionally, add 0.5 cupful of chopped dates, raisins, or currants with the flour.
