Merry Christmas Cake

Ingredients

• 2 breakfast-cupfuls of flour
• 1 breakfast-cupful of cornflour
• 2 teaspoonfuls of baking-powder
• 1 breakfast-cupful of butter
• the whites of eight eggs
• 1 teacupful of milk

Method

   Mix together the flour, cornflour, and baking-powder, and rub in the butter.

   When quite smooth, beat in the whites of the eggs and milk.

   Bake in flat cake-tins.

   When done, spread icing with grated cocoa-nut between the layers, on the top, and round the sides.
