Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

• 6 ozs. macaroni
• 2 ozs. butter
• 6 ozs. grated cheese (Dunlop)
• 1 breakfastcupful of milk
• Salt
• pepper
• mustard

Method

   Put the macaroni in a stewpan, cover with cold water, and let it stand an hour before putting on the fire.

   Bring to the boil and shake well, but do not stir.

   Let it boil gently till soft.

   Drain, add milk and melted butter.

   In a well-greased pie dish, put alternate layers of macaroni and cheese, sprinkle with dry mustard, and add small pats of butter on top.

   Bake till nicely browned.
