1 cup butter; 2 cups flour; 1 small cup grated chocolate (bitter), dissolved in boiling water; 1 level teaspoonful of soda. — 115 — Mix well the beaten yolks, sugar and butter, then add 1 cup milk. Sift soda and flour together and stir into mixture. Add the chocolate and lastly fold in the whites. Bake in layers and put together with chocolate filling. CHOCOLATE FILLING: 1 cup sugar; % cup sweet milk ; 3 tablespoon grated chocolate (bitter) ; a pinch of salt.
