LAYER CAKE. Cream 1 cup of sugar and butter the size of an egg, add 1 egg, 1 cup of milk, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 2 cups of flour and a pinch of salt. — Miss Cathie Johnston, Springbank, Alta. STRAINER IS FINE. B. Johnson, Markerville, Alta., May 7th, 1910, says: — I have been using your MAGNET strainer for about two months. 1 am highly pleased with it, and would not do without it.
