Kiss Pudding

Ingredients

• 1 pt. milk
• 2 fcablespoonfuls desiccated cocoanut
• 3 tablespoonfuls cornflour
• 5 eggs
• J lb. sugar
• a pinch of salt

Method

   Put nearly all the milk on to boil with the sugar and a pinch of salt; mix the cornflour with the rest of the milk and add it to the yolks of the eggs in a large basin, pour the hot milk over, then return to the saucepan with the cocoanut and the essence of vanilla, allow to boil for a few minutes, turn into a pie-dish.

   Beat up the whites of the eggs to a stiff froth, sweeten and flavor with a little essence of lemon, spread on the pudding, and brown.
