Ingredients

• three-quarters of a pound of white powdered sugar
• half a pound of butter
• six eggs
• a pound of flour
• a grated nutmeg
• four ounces of chopped orange peel
• a glass of orange juice
• half a pound of blanched almonds

Method

   Cream sugar and butter, add eggs one at a time.

   Mix in flour, nutmeg, orange peel, and juice.

   Drop dough onto buttered paper, sprinkle with almonds, and bake until brown.
