Fruit Pudding

Ingredients

• slices of buttered bread
• dusting it with sugar
• small lumps of butter

Method

   Line a greased dish with buttered bread, layer with fruit, sugar, and butter.

   Repeat layers until full, ending with bread.

   Bake for 0.5 to 0.75 hour with moderate heat.

   Serve hot with sweet sauce.
