Fruit Cake One pkg. raisins, 2 cups brown sugar, 2 cups boiling water (with 1 tspn. soda), 1 tspn. cinnamon, 1 tspn. cloves, 2 tblspns. shortening. Boil 5 minutes, then cool and mix with 4 cups flour. One-half cup of chopped nuts will improve.
