DRIED APPLE CAKE. Soak one cup dried apples over night in lukewarm water, in the morning draw off water, chop apples fine, cook them a little in one cup molasses, and when cold add them with one cup chopped raisins to this batter. One cup brown sugar, two eggs, one half cup butter, one half cup sour milk, three cups flour, one teaspoonful soda, half teaspoonful cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg
