DOVER CAKE. Cream thoroughly together one-quarter of a cupful of butter and one-half of a cupful of sugar, add the well-beaten yolks of two eggs and beat again, then one-half of a teaspoonful of rose-water, one teaspoonful of vanilla and one drop of almond extract. Add alternately one cupful of flour and three tablespoon- fuls of milk and beat well. Stir in the stiffly whipped whites of the eggs, a pinch of salt and one scant teaspoonful of baking powder
