Devil's Food Cake (Layer) No. 4

Ingredients

• 5 eggs beaten separately
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups flour
• 1 small cup grated chocolate (bitter)
• 1 level teaspoonful of soda

Method

   Mix well the beaten yolks, sugar and butter, then add 1 cup milk.

   Sift soda and flour together and stir into mixture.

   Add the chocolate and lastly fold in the whites.

   Bake in layers and put together with chocolate filling.
