Devil's Food Cake

Ingredients

• Three-fourths cup grated chocolate
• yolk one egg
• three tablespoons sugar
• one-half cup sweet milk
• one-half cup butter
• one cup granulated sugar
• two eggs
• three-fourths cup sour milk
• one teaspoon soda
• two cups flour

Method

   Cook the chocolate, egg yolk, sugar, and milk on the stove until thickened.

   Cool and add to the mixture of butter, sugar, eggs, sour milk, soda, and flour.

   Bake in two layers and frost with boiled frosting.

Devil's Food Cake.
