Date Orange Cake

Ingredients

• % cup butter
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups flour
• % cup chopped nuts
• % cup chopped dates
• 1 cup sugar
• istasoda
• 2-3 cup buttermilk
• Vote salt

Method

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Add beaten eggs.

   Sift together flour and salt.

   Add 1.5 cups flour alternately with the buttermilk which has been mixed with the soda.

   Mix together the chopped dates and nuts and add to above mixture.

   Cook in a moderate oven until done.

   After taking from oven and while cake is hot pour on the juice of 2 oranges and 0.5 cup sugar.

   Mix until sugar is dissolved and pour on hot cake.
