Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 3 cups oatmeal
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 1/4 cup boiling water
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

   Mix oatmeal with the sugar and flour.

   Add melted butter and mix well.

   Dissolve soda in boiling water and add to mixture.

   Form the dough into a roll and chill thoroughly.

   Slice thin and bake in moderate oven 5 to 10 minutes.
