Creamed Beef

Ingredients

• half a pound of dried beef
• three table-spoonfuls of butter
• a cupful of milk
• a teaspoonful of flour

Method

   Shave the dried beef into thin slices.

   Melt butter in a frying-pan, add the beef, and stir until it curls.

   Add milk and when it boils, stir in flour mixed with milk.

   Season with pepper, boil once, and serve.
