Corn-meal Pudding

Ingredients

• two eggs
• three heaping table-spoonfuls of meal
• half a cupful of white sugar
• one quart of boiling milk

Method

   Mix beaten yolks of eggs, cornmeal, and sugar.

   Stir in boiling milk slowly.

   Boil for five minutes while stirring constantly.

   After cooling, add beaten whites of eggs.

   Pour into a pudding-dish and bake for one hour in a moderate oven.

   Serve with cream and sugar or desired sauce.
