Ingredients

• one cup of sugar
• half a nutmeg grated
• half a pint of milk
• half a cup of butter
• one teaspoonful of baking powder
• sufficient flour to make a dough
• two eggs

Method

   Beat butter to cream, add sugar, and beat again.

   Beat eggs until light, add to mixture.

   Stir in milk, nutmeg, baking powder, and flour.

   Roll out, cut with a round cutter, and bake until light brown.
