Cocoanut Layer Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sifted flour
• tte isalt
• 1 cup sugar
• 1-3 cup milk
• 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
• 2 t. baking powder
• 2-3 cup butter
• 3 egg yolks, well beaten
• 1 t. vanila
• 1% cups cocoanut

Method

   Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt and sift together three times.

   Cream butter and sugar.

   Add egg yolks.

   Add flour alternately with milk.

   Add vanilla and fold in egg whites.

   Bake in two greased layer pans in moderate oven for 25 minutes.

   Spread seven minute frosting over cake.

   Sprinkle with cocoanut.
