Cinnamon or Coffee Buns

Ingredients

• In one and a half pints warm milk
• two yeast cakes
• a half cup sugar
• half cup butter
• a pinch of salt
• one teaspoonful lemon extract
• one or two eggs
• cinnamon for flavoring
• sufficient sifted flour

Method

1. 1

   Dissolve yeast in warm milk, add sugar, butter, salt, lemon extract, eggs, and enough flour to make a smooth dough.

   Let rise overnight, roll out, wash with butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, roll up, cut, and let rise again.

   Bake in a moderate oven.
