Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sifted flour
• % t. salt
• 1 cup sifted brown sugar
• 3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
• 1 t. vanilla
• 1 t. soda
• 1-3 cup butter
• 2 eges, beaten
• 1 cup milk

Method

   Sift flour, measure, add soda and salt, sift together 3 times.

   Work butter with spoon until creamed; add sugar gradually, beating after each addition.

   Add eggs, then chocolate.

   Blend well.

   Add milk alternately with flour mixture.

   Add vanilla.

   Bake in hot oven.
