Chocolate Bread Pudding

Ingredients

• 3 slices stale bread cut in small cubes
• i/^ squares chocolate
• 2 cups scalding milk
• y2 cup sugar
• )4 teaspoon salt
• I teaspoon vanilla

Method

   Soak bread in milk.

   Melt chocolate over hot water, add sugar and enough hot water to make a pourable consistency.

   Mix with bread, salt, and vanilla; pour into a buttered baking dish and bake for half an hour in a moderate oven.

   Serve with top milk.
