Cereal Fillets

Ingredients

• 2 cups milk
• 1/2 cup corn meal, toasted lightly in the oven
• 2 teaspoons vegetable butter
• Salt to taste

Method

   Heat milk to boiling, sift in corn meal gradually while stirring.

   Add salt and butter, cook gently for 20 minutes.

   Pour into an oiled tin, cool, cut into shapes, dip in flour, cream, or egg, then crumbs.

   Bake until brown, serve with syrup or jelly.
