Buns

Ingredients

• two eggs
• two cups boiling milk
• half cup sugar
• half cup butter
• one cake compressed yeast
• flour enough to make a dough

Method

   Beat the eggs very light, pour over them the boiling milk while beating, then add sugar and salt.

   Let cool until lukewarm, then add yeast dissolved in cold water, and stir in flour until a soft dough forms.

   Knead in flour until smooth and elastic, then place in a greased bowl to rise for 5 hours until light.

   Work in butter without adding more flour, let rise for 1 hour, then form into buns, place in a greased pan, and let rise for 2 hours before baking in a moderate oven.
