Brown Nut Bread

Ingredients

• ^ c. molasses
• 1 ts. salt
• 1 ts. soda
• 1 ts. cream of tartar
• 2 c. milk
• | c. sugar
• 2 c. graham flour
• 1% c. white flour
• 1 c. nuts, chopped

Method

   Add the soda to the molasses and beat until it foams.

   Add milk, then the dry ingredients mixed together.

   Add the nuts.

   Fill pound baking powder cans, greased, one half full, cover, let rise for half an hour; bake for half an hour in a moderate oven.
