Beefsteak with Fried Onions

Ingredients

• two Spanish onions
• Put a kettle of fat on the range

Method

   Peel and thinly slice the onions.

   Place them in a frying basket.

3. 3

   Broil the steak as directed.

4. 4

   When the meat is cooked, plunge the basket of onions into very hot fat.

   Cook until crisp and brown.

   Drain and arrange around the steak or in a separate dish.
