Beef with Tomatoes

Ingredients

• two tablespoons butter
• eight or nine tomatoes
• pint chopped cold meat

Method

1. 1

   Fry two small onions, chopped, in two tablespoons butter; then add eight or nine tomatoes, cut fine, and season with salt, pepper, and herbs if liked.

   When tomatoes are cooked, add a pint of chopped cold meat and serve when heated through.
